Light Art

i don’t know what it is actually call but i just call it light art. what do i mean by light art well it is just taking picture of a normal light at night time and make it into some kind of light show. i don’t know hot to explain it in word so i will just show it in picture.

 

This is the so call normal picture that i took last time from the capital. you can see more here from my last post.

If you are living in Brunei you should drop by the capital during this festival time as this is one of those time where the capital is very lively.

Night light at Bandar Seri Begawan July 2011

As His Majesty birthday is nearer, a lot of beautiful night light (or what the Malay call it cucul) are install in the capital. I was in the capital on 11th July 2011 taking picture of the place and if you planning to go and take some shot then my advice is don’t go there late as the light will start to close at 10.45PM like that.

So ok here are some of the shot i took yesterday.

well this is a shop that been set up to server most of the lady  in Brunei as they sell from cloth, to accessory to other stuff. they do sell some men cloth and cap as the sales lady told me but most of the stuff is for girls. if you want to buy something for your GF or wife then you can visit they shop / showroom at the following address.

They are open on Monday till Sunday from 10 in the morning and close at 7pm in the evening but they are close on Wednesday. if you lady / gent want to see some of they product then you can add “chris wong (ec-fashion brunei)” on facebook as they will update they stuff there.

Value Hotel Thompson

i was in Singapore recently and was staying at value hotel thompson. they got 3 branch thompson the 1 i m staying, nice and Balestier. the room i m staying is the standard double room which cost at $109SG per night. so ok below is the picture of the room i stay during my trip there.

 

Like all hotel they will put the building floor plan at the back of the entrance door for incase of fire.

 

To power on the room you need to insert your access card at the slot.

Earth Hour Brunei 2011

This event was hosted at Yayasan complex in the capital on the 26th March 2011.

Jerudong Park 19th March 2011

Jerudong park re-open to the public on the 19th March 2011. The Park start operation on 4pm though on the opening day it start a bit late as they were still doing the final checking on the machine. The entrance to the park is free and if you want to go on the ride then you need to purchase the ticket on the counter there.

 

Here is the ticket pricing and the counter to buy the ticket though the counter was still close at the time i was there as it was still 3.30pm that time.

 

 

The diamond and the fountain is still there but my guess no maintenance was done to it as i can see some fern growing on it (Bottom right of the diamond picture) and it will be nice if at night time there is the light there like the good old time.

 

Below is the picture around the park. It bring back memory of the good old time at the park as i was walking around it.

Some of the new attraction to the park though some is opening soon.

i was in the capital just now so i take a few shot of it.

Hutan Simpanan Berakas

Hutan Simpanan Berakas or as you say it in English Berakas reserve forest is located at brunei muara – tutong highway some where between the berakas trafic light and the UBD. it is easy to spotted the place as at the roadside there you can see some fake large plant.

Despite the name reserve forest, it is not all forest to see inside as at the end of road there is a beach and there are even some hut with a fireplace to do your BBQ as you can see in the picture below.

There are also some monkey in the area though i only manage to get 1 shot at them.

like most public place there are always sign. what kind of sign, well the usually sign like keep the place clean, no littering, no dog, ect…

testing out the 35x zoom on my camera. the 1st picture is at wide-angle and the 2nd picture is taken with full 35x zoom.

There are also some jungle track but i did not go in deep as i was alone and it is not good to go into the jungle alone. the other reason was the land was wet due to it was raining yesterday.

There was 1 Indian guy on motorbike selling ice-cream cone for 50 cent each so i got my self two cones.

Lion Dance At Time Square Brunei 10th Feb 2011

The event was actually started on 1.30pm but i was there early to have lunch and to reserve some place for me to take the shot. The inside also got some CNY decoration.

 

this is before the event start, all the stuff has been prepare like the stand, the big drum, the round brass thing i don’t know what it is call, the lion head and lastly is the firework and lot of it.
